Clinical Practice
Adjunct Professor Roger Clarnette is an experienced geriatrician, specialising in the assessment, management, and treatment of neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders. Roger’s clinical practice focuses on the root cause of chronic disease and how to ameliorate this, rather than symptom management. He has a major focus on brain healing through healthy lifestyle. Roger believes in ancestral living as the best strategy for good health. Over the past three decades, he has been involved in nearly 200 clinical trials investigating innovative treatments for neurodegenerative conditions.
Background, Education and Training
Roger completed his medical education and training at leading institutions including Monash University, McMaster University, and the University of Western Australia. His hospital work is based Fremantle Hospital, part of Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group. In addition to this, he is the Clinical Lead and Director of Integra Trials in Nedlands and collaborates with the Curtin University Medical Research Institute to advance research in brain health. Roger’s extensive academic background has supported a long and distinguished career in geriatric medicine and research. His training, combined with decades of clinical and research experience, has positioned him as a respected leader in the field, with a particular interest in integrating evidence-based medicine with lifestyle-focused strategies for optimal health outcomes.
