Dr Ung completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Western Australia and his entire postgraduate cardiology training at Royal Perth Hospital, including a year in the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation Unit. He later undertook overseas fellowship training in adult congenital heart disease at The Heart Hospital, UCLH London.

His interests include:

The medical management of all aspects of general cardiology and optimisation of care of heart failure patients.

Long term follow up and management of congenital heart disease in the adult population.

The diagnosis and management of sleep disordered breathing associated with heart failure.

Dr Ung consults from Cardio Vascular Services (CVS) in Nedlands and has a public hospital appointment at St John of God Hospital in Midland with admitting rights to Hollywood Hospital.
