Dr Maticevic is a medical graduate from the University of Western Australia. She undertook basic physician training at The Alfred (Melbourne, Victoria) and returned to Western Australia to complete advanced training in General Medicine. She received a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. Subsequent to this, Dr Maticevic worked as a general physician at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital across both the acute Medical Assessment Unit and general medical wards. In 2019, Dr Maticevic developed an interest in lipidology and cardiometabolic medicine. She is the Lipid Lead within the Department of General Medicine at SCGH and is responsible for delivery of the Lipid Disorders Service. In 2022, Dr Maticevic obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Preventative Cardiovascular Medicine from the University of South Wales. As a general physician, Dr Maticevic has experience in diagnosing and managing adults with complex, chronic and multisystem disorders. She believes in a patient-centred, holistic approach to managing cardiometabolic disease with a strong focus on education, enabling patients to take an active role in health-related decision making and lifestyle optimisation.

Dr Maticevic is passionate about improving the health of individuals and family members affected by familial hypercholesterolaemia.
