Dr Raj Mehta
Dr Mehta graduated from The University of Western Australia and completed his early training at all three major teaching hospitals in Perth. As a result, he has a broad range of experience in Internal Medicine and Medical specialities. Following this, he transitioned to advanced training in General Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and has since completed a further year of advanced training in Stroke medicine and Neurology primarily at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Dr Mehta has worked in hyperacute stroke care (thrombolysis/thrombectomy) as well as longer term care of stroke patients in the rehabilitation setting.
Dr Mehta has a special interest in providing post stroke care and risk factor management, including AF and anticoagulation in the context of stroke and blood pressure and diabetes management. He is committed to providing high quality care for patients post stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA). He prides himself on providing a kind, compassionate, and holistic approach to his patients’ health.
Dr Mehta consults from Nedlands in the Hollywood Specialist Centre (adjacent to Hollywood Private Hospital), at our Leeming and Mandurah clinic.
