Endocrinologist

Nish is an obesity specialist, an endocrinologist and a cardiac imaging specialist. He is dedicated at improving the life of his patients using a holistic and compassionate approach whilst offering the latest evidence-based medical care.
Nish offers an integrated approach (CMS) to the management of obesity where every patient’s care is tailored to their circumstances and needs by working closely with team of a psychologist, a dietitian, an exercise physiologist and other medical specialists.

Besides his passion for helping patients with weight loss, Nish is experienced in treating all endocrine disorders including osteoporosis, hormone replacement for men and women, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal disorders, PCOS, Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and antenatal thyroid problems.

After graduating from the University of Melbourne Nish undertook his internship and internal medicine training at Townsville Hospital, and was an advanced trainee in Cardiology at Princess Alexandra Hospital Brisbane. He completed his endocrinology in training in Sydney at Concord Repatriation Hospital and St Vincent Hospital. He had extensive training in all facets of bariatric medicine whilst seeing the heaviest patients in Australia and worked in a Metabolic Rehabilitation Program that comprised of endocrinologists, bariatric surgeons, dietitians, exercise physiologist, physiotherapist, sleep physicians, gastroenterologist and rheumatologist.

In 2019, Nish undertook an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship in all modalities of echocardiography and CTCA at the Mount Hospital Perth under the supervision of Prof. David Playford, Dr Phil Currie and Dr Anuj Patel.
He is passionate about the interface between cardiac diseases and metabolic disorders and is actively involved in research in this field (MPHIL with Notre Dame University). He has presented widely at conferences and educational meetings and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
