Dr Rachael Lloyd

Dr Rachael Lloyd has completed 2 years of sub-specialisation in cardiac imaging and has expertise in all aspects of echocardiography (transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echo), as well as cardiac MRI and CT.

She graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours before commencing postgraduate physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Prior to commencing her cardiology training Dr Lloyd obtained her FRACP in general medicine. She is one of a small number who hold dual specialist qualification in this area and is uniquely qualified to manage patients with both cardiologic and general medicine issues.

With ongoing research interests Dr Lloyd has presented both nationally and internationally. She currently holds public appointments at Bendigo and St Vincent's Hospitals.

Her areas of interest include valvular heart disease, chest pain assessment, genetic heart disease including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, perioperative medicine and management of cardiac conditions in pregnancy.

Rachael is available for consultation and stress testing at our consulting suites in Glen Waverley. She is happy to be contacted directly by general practitioners or specialists to discuss patient management.
